To verify that your wall outlet is grounded, two orange lights (center and right) will be lit up together. Any other combination of lights means your outlet is not grounded and you'll need to use a Ground Rod.

Push in the Safety Adapter & Coil Cord

Push the Earthingtek Safety Adapter firmly into your grounded wall outlet. Next, push in one end of the Earthing Coil Cord to the Safety Adapter.

Snap The Coil Cord Onto The Product

Each Earthingtek product has a connection tab where the other end of the Earthingtek Coil Cord snaps on. Connect it, touch your Earthingtek product, and you're grounded!

FAQs

Washing & Care Instructions

It is good to wash your Earthing sheet. The material will not be harmed by washing, in fact it is beneficial. Washing strips body sweat and natural skin oils from the silver keeping it conductive. Here's how to wash and care for the sheet:

DOs

- Wash in a washing machine with warm water (40°C / 105°F)

- Use a liquid laundry detergent

- Line dry or dry in a dryer on low (up to 65°C / 150°F)

- Can be ironed on a low heat if desired

DON'Ts

- Don't wash with bleach

- Don't wash with fabric softeners

- Don't use whitening detergents, oxi-detergents OR detergents with oils like lavender or coconut oil

- Don't use dryer sheet fabric softeners

- Don't dry clean

Bleach, lotions and oils can tarnish the silver rendering it non-conductive. Fabric softener can build up on the silver and ruin its conductive properties. It is also good practice to wait one hour to use the Earthing sheet after applying lotion to the skin.

Can I wear pajamas to bed when I use this?

Sure. Grounding sheets and pillowcases are intended to be in direct contact with your skin but that could be your hands, face, feet, etc. So you can sleep naked if you want to but don't blame us, that's...totally up to you...

How far do I need to drive the grounding stake into the ground?

Only as far as you can push it in with your hand. Do NOT drive it in with a hammer.

Can I put the sheets over a grounding mat?

Yes, this is one configuration that eliminates the need for the cord on the sheets. The mat is always on the bed and the sheets ensure conductance, but because the mat is plugged in and grounded, the cord from the sheets is unnecessary. You don't need to use both. The same is true of the pillowcases. However, there needs to be ambient humidity or perspiration present for this to work, the water creates the conductance.

Does my outlet need to be grounded first?

Yes! If your outlet isn't properly grounded then the product won't work and if it's really improperly wired it could be dangerous, so always test your outlet with an outlet tester prior to using grounding products.

Can I put this sheet under my existing sheet?

That is not ideal. Grounding sheets are meant to replace your fitted sheet, though you could keep your flat sheet. If you want to do that, use a grounding mattress pad instead.

Can I plug it into a surge protector or extension cord?

Yes, the grounding ports on those just extend the grounding port of your outlet but function the same way.

Does wearing jewelry affect the performance of the grounding product?

No. 

Does the sheet/pillowcase/mat come with a cord?

Yes, all products come with the cord.

Does the product come with a grounding stake or outlet tester?

No, just the product and the cord.

Do these products emit EMF?

No, they don't consume any electricity at all and they just ground you to the earth outside. In fact, some people use them to mitigate EMFs.

Which side of the grounding mat goes up?

The side that looks like leather goes up (touches your skin).
